What you Should and Should Not Believe

There have recently been a number of posts on Facebook pages that have made statements that are either innaccurate, misleading or just completely untrue, with respect to this councils actions and those of it's volunteers.  At the latest Parish Council Meeting a member of a village voluntary group stated that he was appalled at an accusation that was made about financial impropriety on one of these posts.

Please be assured that as a council we are keen to prevent this dissemination of false information and would encourage anyone who would like to ascertain the truth on any council dealings or business to contact the Council through the Parish Clerk or to read our website for accurate and truthful information.

Should the Council believe that statements made on social media breach the codes of conduct of those sites they will inform the provider of such, but if it is felt that legal action is necessary then it will not fail to support the residents of this parish to do so.
