Project Gigabit

As part of Project Gigabit the UK Government is enabling Quickline Communications to role out fast broadband to hard to reach rural communities and South Kyme will benefit by summer 2025.

Quickline is committed to providing fast and reliable broadband solutions to rural and underserved communities across the region and will be delivering the work through the UK government’s Project Gigabit scheme.

At this stage works are expected to commence around the village to fit the infrastructure to enable fibre broadband to peoples doors, from November this year!  The Parish Council hope to invite Quickline to a public forum where residents will be able to ask questions about the build and what residents can expect from it.  Further details on the company can be found at Broadband Provider | Rural Broadband For The Better | Quickline

Project Gigabit is the UK government’s flagship £5 billion programme to enable hard-to-reach communities to access lightning-fast gigabit-capable broadband.

·       Having fast, reliable connections delivered by Project Gigabit will level-up mostly rural and remote communities across the UK.

·       Having the fastest broadband means households no longer have to battle over bandwidth, people enjoy the freedom to live and work more flexibly, businesses increase their productivity, and vital public services thrive.

·       Having the fastest connections also means the UK is fit for the future, with broadband infrastructure designed to deliver for people’s needs for decades to come.
